Founded in 1993, Petroleum Fine Products (Pty) Ltd, identified a market requirement to provide premium quality petroleum-based products, sold at competitive rates, to South African consumers and businesses.  The company, also known as PFP, has steadily grown its offering since then.

Due to rapid growth in sales, and demand for a broader product range, the company soon outgrew its original premises in Pinetown, KwaZulu Natal.  The purchase of new premises for the company in Mariann Industrial Estate in 2000 saw the operation moving to a site that offered considerable capacity for future expansion.

Growing business opportunities have necessitated the establishment of facilities in Gauteng, Bloemfontein, East London and Cape Town.  In addition, the company has extended its operations into Harare and Bulawayo in Zimbabwe.  PFP products are now readily available to our customers nationwide.

Our direct sales team operates from the Head Office in KwaZulu Natal.  The team is well-equipped to meet all our customers’ needs in terms of quality product supply, advice and after-sales support.

QUALITY
PFP’s commitment to quality encompasses the products that are manufactured, the processes that are used and the people that are employed by the organisation.

PFP products are produced from the highest quality virgin base stock and additive packages to ensure that customers have complete peace of mind when selecting PFP products for use in their products and processes.

All products manufactured by PFP are tested in our on-site laboratory to ensure conformity to quality standards and specifications laid down by recognised industry bodies such as the various pharmacopoeiae.  In addition, PFP products such as petroleum jelly are manufactured to meet the requirements of the SABS.

PFP has embarked on the process of becoming ISO 9001 compliant  and it is envisaged that this will lead to registration during 2008.

As PFP is not affiliated to any specific refinery this means that suitable base stocks and other raw materials may be sourced from anywhere in the world, thus offering the best finished products to the customer.

PRODUCT RANGE
PFP is one of the largest suppliers in South Africa of petroleum jelly and white mineral oils for use in cosmetic, pharmaceutical, personal care and home care applications, as well as white mineral oils for use in bakery applications. 

PFP's strict adherence to quality is evident in these products in order that they may be used with absolute confidence.
